AC Milan wants to sign Hojlund, a striker for Manchester United.

Rasmus Hojlund, a striker for Manchester United, is a target for AC Milan.

Just over a week has passed since the Danish attacker made it a point to address reporters following his goal in a 4-1 friendly victory against Bournemouth in Chicago, stating that he will stay at Old Trafford despite further competition for his spot in the Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Benjamin Sesko, a Slovenian international, will probably be introduced to the Old Trafford audience prior to Saturday’s noon friendly with Serie A team Fiorentina, since United and RB Leipzig have since agreed on terms for his services.

According to reports, several teams have shown interest in 23-year-old Hojlund, knowing that United is open to negotiating his release.

Milan is reportedly interested, but they would only want a loan at first because, like United, they are struggling financially as a result of missing out on European participation this season.

According to sources, the Serie A team is prepared to pay a 4 million euro (£3.47 million) loan fee up front, with the option to purchase for 40 million (£34.7 million) next summer.

It’s unclear if United will find that acceptable, but additional information about the situation is expected to become available in the upcoming week.

On August 23, Milan takes on Cremonese to start their Serie A campaign.
