Broja is signed by Burnley from Chelsea.

Armando Broja has been signed by Burnley from Chelsea for an undisclosed sum that might reach £20 million.

The striker for Albania has signed to a five-year deal at Turf Moor, joining Lesley Ugochukwu as the second player to leave Stamford Bridge this week. Ugochukwu has moved to Lancashire.

“Joining this team before the new Premier League season begins is a really good idea. “I’m eager to start,” Broja remarked.

“I’m in good health, prepared, and eager to take on the challenge of playing for this team.

“The Burnley supporters’ support is already evident to me. I promise to give it my all each and every time I don the renowned Claret jersey.

The 23-year-old made 38 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions after joining the Blues for the first time in 2020.

He, however, found it difficult to get consistent first-team play and has recently spent time on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, Southampton, Fulham, and Everton.

Broja joins the Clarets squad ahead of this weekend’s home friendly against Lazio, becoming Burnley’s ninth summer acquisition.

Scott Parker’s team will travel to Tottenham at 15:00 BST on Saturday, August 16, to kick off their Premier League campaign.
